Skate Repair and Servicing

Skates work best when you take care of them. You can get common repairs and servicing done at Skateline. 

 

Repair Services

Buckle Replacement
Broken buckle will be removed by machine drill. New buckle will be installed by riveting. Includes generic buckle.
$20 per buckle

Instep Strap repair/replacement
Torn strap will be cut. A generic Velcro strap of the correct length will be stitched on. Includes generic Velcro strap.
$10 per strap, subject to extent damage.

Wheel Rotation
All wheels will be removed, and the placement order re-arranged to balance wear and tear.
$10 per pair of skates

Axel removal
Stuck axels will be removed with a machine drill. Includes replacement compatible axel.
$15 per axel

Complete Bearing Cleaning and Re-lubrication
All bearings will be removed, and bearing shields will be opened on one side to expose ball bearings. Old lubricant will be removed with degreaser. Bearing will be dried thoroughly and re-lubricated with either skate oil or skate grease. Bearing shields will be re-installed.
$40 per pair of skates

Other repairs: Based on assessment
For hassle free assessment, simply take a photo of the damage and email it to us at info@skateline.com.sg. We’ll check it and advise you. Be sure to include your contact information.
Fee: Based on assessment.

Dropping off skates for repair

  1. Visit any Skateline store to drop off your skates. If you are unsure whether your skates can be repaired, send us a photo of the damage for assessment first. (see “Other Repairs” above).
  2. If the skates can be repaired, make payment for the repair. You will receive a repair slip with which to collect the skates later on.
  3. Repairs generally take about one week or longer.
  4. Once the skates are ready, we will call you to pick them up from the store where you dropped them off.
