SAV Juniors at StarKidz Fair 2011

The StarKidz Education and Enrichment Fair which showcased a wide variety of activities for children was held at the Singapore Expo on 3 & 4 September 2011. Skateline was proud to be there to introduce inline skating and promote safety in the sport to children of all ages.

Besides providing retail and free skating clinic where kids get to try on the inline skates, we had the pleasure of inline skating skill demonstration by some of our talented Junior skaters. Natasha (11), Shane (11), Phoebe (10) and Shi Kai (5) wowed the crowd with their array of skating skills and tricks.

The most credible kid amongst them was 5-year old Chan Shi Kai, who started skating lessons with us since 4 years old. She showed composure and absolute control and balance during her demonstration. And her mum, Mrs Lilian Chan, was full of praises for her daughter, as she was initially worried that Shi Kai might have stage fright.

The star performer was 11 year old Shane Chan, who performed a variety of complex and high difficulty skills. He too, started skating at the early age of 5 years old, and over the years he has matured and improved tremendously in his control and balance. We were also grateful to have the support from their parents, who were on hand to capture the moments with their cameras.

There were also cool prizes to be won in a pop-quiz session after the performance, and some kids walked away with a stylish K2 Hydrobelt - a waist pouch and water bottle in one, presented by the performers.
