International Women’s Day - Sports Mart for Ladies
The 3-day mini sports expo cum carnival – Sports Mart for Ladies was successfully held between 6 to 8 Mar 07 at the Raffles Place Park. Various National Sports Associations and sports service providers participated in this Sports Mart to increase public awareness for the different sports amongst the ladies. Skateline and Snowline booths received very positive response from the ladies as well as working adults. Many of them were eager to pick up a new sport as they signed up for inline skating and snowboarding lessons at our booths!

National Vertical Marathon 2007
Skateline is proud to support Singapore’s largest vertical marathon happening on Sunday, 25 Feb 07 at the Republic Plaza from 7am to 7pm. Skaters, take the challenge to climb up 60 flights of steps to improve your stamina and win great prizes too!

SAVS at Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon
The Skate Assist Volunteers (SAV) contributed towards this year’s Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2006 by providing assistance to the runners along the route. They patrolled along the running route and served as road marshals to keep a look-out for the safety of the runners and the wheelies. The Straits Times even featured SAV Victor Ong in action!
Launch of Clean & Green Week
Our Skate Assist Volunteers had the honour of welcoming / escorting Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Launch of the Clean & Green Week on Sun 5 Nov 06 at the Republic Polytechnic.
Women’s Day Out 2006
Skateline was at the Women’s Day Out 2006 on Sat 7 Oct 06 at the Ngee Ann City, Civic Plaza - Singapore’s largest women-only sporting event. Our instructor shared tips on how one can keep fit and be healthy through skating. The Guest-of-Honour, Ms Grace Fu, Minister-of-State for National Development and MP for Jurong GRC together with members of the public got a chance learning to skate. It was fun for both instructor and learners.
ITE College Carnival Day
Skateline conducted skating trials at the ITE College Carnival Day on 23 Sep 06 at Bishan Park 2.
Most of them were beginners at skating but managed to master basic skating steps during the skate trials.
Inline Skating Workshop
This workshop was successfully organised by the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore, Skateline and the Changi General Hospital (Recreation Club) on Sat 16 Sep 06. The participants were able to pick up tips on preventing injuries, strengthening exercises / cardiovascular training for skaters, prevention / rehabilitation of overuse injuries and in skating etc. The practical session on inline skating proved to be a fun and refreshing experience for both first-time skaters and novice skaters.
SMU VIVACE
On 25 Aug, Skateline joined in SMU’s celebration of vibrant student life at their city campus. The CCA fair, dance performances, games & fun activities were put up by various student groups.
Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards
Skateline was proud to be one of the sponsors for this year’s Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards, held at the prestigious Jubilee Hall of Raffles Hotel on 25 Aug 06. The Guest-of-Honour was Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts.
SMU Watershock
This event showcased a wide variety of land and sea activities, ranging from banana boat, kayaking, sailing, dragon boating, kite flying, archery and last but not least, inline skating! Many of the participants had a great time at our Skateline’s free inline skating sessions!
McDonalds’ New Look Opening – Toa Payoh HDB Hub
Kids were thrilled to get up & personal with many of their favourite McDonalds characters eg. Ronald McDonald during the McDonalds New Look Opening event, held on Sat 5 Aug 06 at the Toa Payoh HDB Hub . They had a fun time, trying out inline skating at our Skateline booth as well.
Samsung Inline Skating Festival 2006
Despite the wet weather, 280 Singapore skaters braved the rain to attempt a world record-breaking feat for longest inline skating chain on 6 Aug 06 at the Padang!
SMU - SMUX Camp On 25 Jul 06, hundreds of Singapore Management University students experienced the fun of inline skating at the West Coast Park. All of them were able to learn the steps of basic skating from our Skateline instructors. Inline Skating was one of the highlights of the overnight camp amongst other outdoor activities such as kayaking, diving, cycling.
Racial Harmony Youth Celebrations @ South East 2006 Harmony Rockz In celebration of Racial Harmony Day, Skateline supported the recent Southeast CDC event at Plaza Singapura. It was a colourful and fun-filled event for all. The public won themselves Skateline prizes and other attractive gifts from participating in the various activities, ranging from Chaptek, Skipping Rope and many others.
McDonalds Khatib New Look Opening There was an interesting line-up of activities such as Colouring competition, ball dribbling display, Ronald McDonald magic show, dance performances etc. The event was graced by MP Ms Lee Bee Wah. Many of the participants enjoyed themselves at Skateline’s inline skating try-out station.
ZA Summer Camp 60 sassy ladies picked up tips on how to look and feel good at the ZA Summer Camp on 15 Jul 06 at the East Coast Park. Other than workshops, games & sporting activities, they also had fun trying out inline skating!
There was an overwhelming response from parents who signed up their children for our free inline try-outs at the Young Parents Fiesta 2006 – Kids@Play. The kids were really at play and had a fun time, learning basic inline steps from our instructor.

National Runway Cycling 2006Skateline was at the SAFRA National Runway Cycling on Sun 28 May 06 at the Paya Lebar Airbase. Skaters not only enjoyed themselves at the event but also went home satisfied with good bargains found at our Skateline booth!
Adventure Singapore 2006Skateline participated as one of the sports service providers at the Sports Tent on 1st and 2nd Apr 06 at the Padang. This is In support of Singapore Sports Council’s inaugural adventure race event.
MDIS Open House Skateline was at the MDIS Open House on Sat 25 Mar 06, providing free try-outs to participants. Many of them were able to pick up the basics of inline skating at the try-outs.
Opening Ceremony - West Coast Highway, 2.4km Fun Walk by LTA
On 25 Mar 06, Minister Yeo Cheow Tong graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour Skaters had a fun time, skating along this new highway and enjoying the breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape More then 3000 people were present for the Fun Walk and of course skate too.
Kiddy Fest 2006
Skateline was at the Kiddy Fest 2006 from 17 to 19 Mar 06 at the Singapore Expo Hall 5B. Children had lots of fun, trying inline skating near our Skateline booth!
SMU Patron's Day
Singapore Management University (SMU) celebrated its sixth birthday, 13 th February. The Patron’s Day was held at its new city campus in Bras Basah, His Excellency, President S R Nathan who is the Patron of SMU, graced the celebration. Skateline was there to provide free inline skating clinics to SMU Students. Response was great and all that tried inline skating, signed up to be Skateline members!

Launch of Youth Donor Club
Singapore Red Cross (SRC) has launched the Youth Donor Club to recruit more members and promote blood donation from the public. The Guest-of-Honour is NMP Eunice Olsen. SRC volunteers will skate along Orchard Rd to tag stickers on public as part of their promotion campaign on event day. Besides Heerens, there are 2 other locations at Far East Plaza and Lido whereby they will sign up people as YDC members. Being one of the sponsors, Skateline is proud to be supporting this worthy cause.
