The Skate Assist Volunteers (SAV)

Skate Assist Program
The Skate Assist Volunteer (SAV) Program is community service project to promote safe skating in our parks. This is done by providing free instruction to beginner skaters about basic skating techniques, and skating etiquette ("IISA rules of the road"). Its principles and techniques are based on the Inline Certification Program (ICP), an international standard for teaching inline skating.
Skate Assist Volunteers (SAV) are individuals who want to volunteer their services in this program, and have been selected, undergone training, and passed SAV tests conducted Skateline.
Project Objectives
The program aims to encourage skaters to be ambassadors for inline skating in our community. We hope that skaters registered with us would take this opportunity to volunteer and help us promote inline skating as a safe, fun and healthy activity for all. This project is launched with the support and endorsement of the National Parks Board.
SAV Community Programs
The volunteers help out in many community programs initiated by skateline and/or other organizations.
